Lifesteps CIC is a therapeutic intervention service dedicated to supporting young people in our local area, including Basildon, Essex, and surrounding communities. We provide one-on-one life coaching, workshops, and engaging assemblies to promote positive development.
Our Vision is to assist young people in addressing emotional and behavioural challenges, managing complex needs, supporting mental health, and resisting negative influences such as gang culture. We believe that, with appropriate support at the right time, every young person can take meaningful steps toward a brighter future.
Our mission is to foster a strong, supportive community where young people and their families can thrive. Through guidance, resources, and opportunities for personal growth, we aim to help individuals overcome challenges, build resilient relationships, and contribute to positive change within the local area.

Fighting the culture
Fighting the Culture is a recognised initiative aimed at educating young people about exploitation and gang awareness. Students as young as ten years old will receive guidance on identifying potential risks and strategies to protect themselves from exploitation.

Wellbeing programme
Our wellbeing programme provides foundational level of support aimed at assisting schools and educating students on various topics to help mitigate potential future challenges. We work on three key areas of youth development being personal, social and vocational development.
Role modelling programme
Our Role Modelling Programme is provides personalised support to young people at risk of permanent exclusion, gang involvement, exploitation, as well as tailored assistance for children in care and support for disadvantaged families.
We work collaboratively with children and adolescents facing emotional and behavioural challenges, along with those displaying complex needs.

That presentation was amazing, living in Essex is different to London, however having the knowledge of what to look out for in relations to gang culture has helped us feel safe and also be able to tell our friends about what we learnt today. Lifesteps has made a remarkable difference in the lives of young people. One individual, who was previously reported missing around 30 times a month, has seen that number drop to just one since being paired with a dedicated mentor. This young person was at significant risk of gang exploitation, but having someone to talk to and provide guidance has truly transformed his life. The positive impact on both him and our team has been invaluable.
